Senior Software Engineer- Performance Testing

As a Performance Test Engineer at Caterpillar Inc., you will play a crucial role in shaping the world through your work with the Cat Digital team. Your responsibilities will involve the following key areas: - Utilize your 8+ years of experience in performance test engineering to demonstrate a strong knowledge of tools like JMETER and the ability to develop custom scripts using Groovy or Java. - Independently support end-to-end performance testing/engineering for projects using Agile methodologies. - Apply your grasp of performance engineering principles to conduct analysis for Enterprise scale projects and the latest JavaScript frameworks. - Create a Test Plan & Test Execution Strategy and be involved in all phases of performance testing. - Collaborate with teams at multiple locations to ensure on-time delivery of projects by assisting in the development of estimates and resource requirements. - Review requirements, design documents, and code to identify performance bottlenecks and defects. - Develop custom tools and load simulators, integrating them with frameworks like Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira. - Derive Non-Functional Requirements based on Production Statistics and Business Requirements. - Execute performance tests through Azure CI/CD pipeline and demonstrate knowledge of AWS/AZURE. - Showcase strong knowledge in API and UI Scripting and Testing, along with excellent communication skills to explain test results to stakeholders. - Identify/create test data and actively participate in defect tracking and reporting. - Automate repeatable, manual activities by building, publishing, and supporting reusable components.
