As a Senior Software Developer at Vendasta in Chennai, India, you will play a crucial role in enhancing execution, culture, and innovation within the teams. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineering Managers, and Staff Developers, you will be responsible for creating scalable, high-quality software while also mentoring and empowering your teammates. In addition to focusing on software craftsmanship, you will advocate for responsible AI adoption to improve workflows, knowledge sharing, and automation. As a visible leader in engineering culture, you will be expected to provide technical guidance, drive innovation, and facilitate team success through clear communication, collaboration, and proactive planning. This includes promoting responsible AI integration, facilitating knowledge sharing, and streamlining operations through automation. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership to your team, championing AI-aligned work, developing scalable and maintainable software, collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in sprint planning, mentoring team members, documenting technical vision, leading incident response readiness, advocating for strong engineering practices, and contributing to Vendasta's engineering culture. To excel in this role, you should have at least 12 years of software development experience in SaaS or technology environments, a proven track record of leading technical teams, deep knowledge of software design patterns and cloud-native systems, the ability to drive AI adoption, strong communication skills, a passion for mentoring, experience with Scrum framework, and a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
