Senior Shopify Developers

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal

candidate will have strong expertise in Shopify Plus, theme customisation, custom app

development, and third-party integrations. You will play a key role in leading Shopify projects

end-to-end, mentoring junior developers, and delivering seamless eCommerce experiences.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and deployment of Shopify/Shopify Plus stores.
2. Customize Shopify themes, sections, and templates as per business requirements.
3. Develop custom Shopify apps and private apps using Shopify API, GraphQL, and REST.
4. Integrate third-party services such as payment gateways, shipping APIs, CRM, ERP, and marketing tools.
5. Optimize site performance, speed, and SEO best practices.
6. Manage and maintain liquid templates, scripts, metafields, and Shopify functions.
7. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide long-term solutions.
8. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and marketing teams to deliver user-friendly experiences.
9. Mentor junior developers and act as a point of escalation for technical challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Shopify/Shopify Plus Developer (4–7 years).
2. Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
3. Experience in custom app development using Node.js, React, or PHP.
4. Hands-on knowledge of Shopify APIs, GraphQL, and REST API integrations.
5. Strong understanding of Shopify Functions & Checkout Extensibility.
6. Experience with payment/shipping gateway integration and ERP/CRM systems.
7. Good understanding of performance optimisation and SEO for Shopify stores.
8. Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD workflows.
9. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
