As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will be a pivotal member of the development team, responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of efficient, scalable, and user-friendly Shopify stores. Your role will involve customizing and enhancing e-commerce websites using Shopify's platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code for Shopify themes and customizations while ensuring adherence to best practices and Shopify's guidelines. - Leading the development and maintenance of complex e-commerce features and functionalities by collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and other developers. - Conducting thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve overall code quality and development practices within the team. - Writing, maintaining, and optimizing tests to ensure the reliability and performance of Shopify stores, identifying and resolving advanced bugs and performance issues. - Developing and managing reusable components and custom sections within Shopify themes to streamline development processes and ensure consistency across projects. - Working with cross-functional teams, including backend developers and designers, to seamlessly integrate front-end components with Shopify's backend services. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation to support ongoing development, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of new team members. - Staying current with the latest technologies, frameworks, and methodologies relevant to Shopify development and utilizing this knowledge to enhance existing processes and solutions. Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - 2.6 to 6 years of experience in front-end development with a strong focus on Shopify. - Advanced proficiency in Shopify's Liquid templating language with a deep understanding of Shopify's best practices and conventions. - Strong knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, with experience in developing responsive and optimized Shopify themes. - Extensive experience in customizing Shopify themes and working with Shopify's APIs and app integrations to deliver tailored e-commerce solutions. - Proficiency in using version control systems, particularly Git, to manage and collaborate on codebases. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to debug, optimize, and enhance front-end code and e-commerce functionality. - Proven ability to mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The company is based in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and the working model is office-based. You should be willing to work on-site at various locations in India and globally, including the USA, UK, Australia, and the Middle East.
