Job Description

Senior Sales Engineer

consultative, technical sales role

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Own the

    complete sales cycle

    for the North region prospecting, solutioning, POCs, negotiations, and closures
  • Develop new accounts across

    manufacturing, utilities, power, cement, metals, oil & gas, FMCG, and process industries

  • Build strong relationships with

    plant heads, maintenance managers, automation managers, reliability engineers, and leadership teams

  • Drive

    large, multi-plant and enterprise-level deals

  • Consistently achieve

    quarterly and annual revenue targets

Technical & Solution Selling

  • Sell

    industrial sensors, automation systems, and IoT-based condition monitoring solutions

  • Conduct

    technical demos, site surveys, and pilot deployments (POCs)

  • Understand customer requirements around

    machine health, vibration, energy monitoring, automation, downtime reduction, and digital transformation

  • Collaborate with

    product, engineering, and application teams

    to design tailored solutions
  • Support customers through

    pilot rollout scale-up

Channel & Partner Management

  • Work with

    system integrators, automation partners, OEMs, and IoT solution partners

  • Enable channel partners through

    training, joint customer meetings, and deal support

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track

    competition, pricing, and technology trends

    in sensors, automation, and industrial IoT
  • Provide inputs for

    GTM strategy, pricing, and product roadmap

  • Represent the company at

    industry events, expos, and customer forums

Required Qualifications & Skills

Must-Have

  • 5–10 years

    of experience in

    industrial B2B technical sales

  • Proven experience selling

    industrial sensors, automation products, or IoT solutions

  • Strong understanding of

    industrial automation systems, field instrumentation, PLC/SCADA environments, and plant operations

  • Ability to engage in

    technical discussions

    with engineering and maintenance teams
  • Excellent

    communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Willingness to travel extensively across North India

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

  • Experience in

    condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, vibration monitoring, energy monitoring, or reliability solutions

  • Exposure to

    IIoT platforms, edge devices, gateways, and cloud-based industrial software

  • Engineering degree in

    Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Automation

  • Experience selling

    solution-based or subscription (SaaS + hardware) offerings
