Job Description

Role Overview: As an Sr. Engineer Mechanical (Packages) for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects at WSP India, your primary responsibility will be to design piping, static & rotary equipment in compliance with WSP Engineering and Client Standards. You will work collaboratively with a motivated team in Australia and the position will be based in Bangalore/Noida/Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: - Possess in-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8 - Design and develop piping systems and components, review detailed piping layout drawings, and collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with specifications and industry standards - Provide expert guidance in the selection and specification of rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, and blowers - Prepare valve material specifications, datasheets for piping special items, and RFQs for piping bulk items, valves, specialty items, etc. - Develop inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels, including hydrostatic and non-destructive testing - Communicate effectively with internal peers and project team, reporting progress of work assignments to immediate supervisor - Actively participate in the design process, ensuring quality procedures are implemented and maintained - Support the company's approach to sustainability and ensure Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices - Identify improvements to enhance WSP service to clients and complete accurate timesheets by set deadlines Qualification Required: - 10-14 years of experience in piping, static, rotary equipment engineering - Minimum of a bachelor's degree & preferred master's degree in mechanical engineering - Strong organizational, technical, and communication skills with attention to detail - Familiarity with working in a LEAN environment and experience with projects in Australia, New Zealand would be an advantage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - Possession of a P.
