Job Description

Role Overview: As a Robotics System Design & Integration Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing robotic systems such as industrial arms, mobile robots, and cobots. You will design end-of-arm tooling, fixtures, and automation modules, and integrate robotics with PLCs, vision systems, conveyors, sensors, and safety hardware. Additionally, you will lead software development by optimizing robot programs, creating control algorithms, and implementing system diagnostics and monitoring tools. Your role will involve overseeing full project lifecycles, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Furthermore, you will research new robotics technologies, propose improvements for enhanced throughput and safety, and ensure documentation and compliance with safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the development and implementation of robotic systems, including industrial arms, mobile robots, and cobots. - Design end-of-arm tooling (EOAT), fixtures, and automation modules. - Integrate robotics with PLCs, vision systems, conveyors, sensors, and safety hardware. - Develop and optimize robot programs for platforms such as ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, UR, and Yaskawa. - Create reliable control algorithms and motion-planning routines. - Oversee full project lifecycle from concept to commissioning. - Lead on-site installation, testing, and troubleshooting. - Research new robotics technologies and propose enhancements for throughput and safety. - Prepare design documents, test procedures, and system validation reports. - Ensure compliance with safety standards such as ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06, CE, etc. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - 7+ years of experience in robotics or industrial automation engineering. - Expertise with robotic platforms such as ABB, KUKA, FANUC, UR, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, Kawasaki, etc. - Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python, C/C++, ROS, RAPID, KRL, URScript, etc. - Experience with integrating vision systems like Cognex, Keyence, SICK, Basler. - Thorough understanding of PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, ProfiNet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP). - Strong knowledge of safety standards and risk assessment.
