Role Overview

As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of Zywave’s SaaS products. You will design and implement robust automated testing solutions, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an empowered, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions to deliver high-quality software.
2. Identify software risks and opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and depth.
3. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
4. Contribute to and enhance Zywave’s test automation frameworks and libraries.
5. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other team members in an agile, team-based environment.
6. Plan and execute functional, regression, and performance testing as required.
7. Provide guidance and leadership to other engineers on test automation best practices.
8. Participate in planning and design activities within continuous delivery cycles.
9. Continuously improve development, testing practices, tools, and processes.
10. Mentor and coach teammates while continuously enhancing your own technical skills.

Technology Stack

You will work with a modern, best-of-breed technology stack, including:

1. Backend: .NET Core, .NET Framework, Python, AWS Lambda
2. Frontend: React, VueJS, Web Components, ZUI (Zywave internal UI library)
3. Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
4. Databases & Messaging: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, RabbitMQ, Redis

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of relevant industry experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
3. Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
4. Solid understanding of SOLID principles and modern software development practices.
5. Experience with modern SaaS-oriented design patterns and architectures.
6. Hands-on experience with test automation and performance testing practices.

Technology Orientation

1. Selenium, WebDriver, Neotys
2. .NET technology ecosystem
3. API and microservices testing
4. SQL Server and relational data testing patterns
5. Performance testing using JMeter
6. Exposure to Prompt Engineering is a plus
