Senior Quality Engineer

In your role as a Quality Department member, your key responsibilities will include: - Setting the quality standards for each product / process as per the customer requirements. - Ensuring that the production team is following the standards. - Displaying stage wise / Operation wise drawing in the production area and educating the operators in each operation. - Strengthening the Line Inspection and understanding the concept of cost per poor quality. - Aiming for tolerance lesser than the accepted tolerance level. - Participating in the supplier selection process, which includes reviewing the documents submitted by the suppliers and conducting in-site audits. - Setting requirements for raw material from suppliers and monitoring their compliance. - Conducting periodic evaluations of suppliers" performances. - Coordinating with PPC for any deviation in the specifications or change of suppliers. - Measuring product dimensions, examining functionality, and comparing the final product to the specifications. - Evaluating the final output of products to determine their quality and rejection ratio. - Improving the reliability of new product development processes. - Reviewing products, processes, and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made. - Developing quality control processes and providing training to the team. - Performing regular quality assessments and audits on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. - Documenting inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records. - Resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner. - Ensuring products are designed with adherence to legal and safety standards. - Reporting quality standard issues to upper management. - Upkeeping all statistical records for the quality of incoming and outgoing materials, defective tools (if any). - Compiling quality information needed for the management review. - Handling the procedures to certify the organization to IATF/ ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.
