Senior Quality Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Carry out

  in-process and final inspection

  of Butterfly Valves and Ball Valves as per approved GA Drawings, PO, and QAP requirements.
• Review and interpret international standards such as

  API 609, API 607, EN 12266-1, API 598

  .
• Perform inspection using measuring instruments including

  Vernier Caliper, Pressure Gauges, Thread Plug & Ring Gauges, Measuring Tape, Height Gauge

  , etc.
• Conduct thorough

  visual inspections

  in line with

  MSS SP 55-2011

  requirements.
• Execute

  Electrical Continuity Tests

  as per

  API 609

  .
• Perform

  Painting Inspection

  , including DFT measurement using DFT Meter and cross-hatch testing.
• Perform NDT-related inspections such as:

• Magnetic Particle Testing Level II (ASNT SNT-TC-1A-2016)

• Radiography Testing Level II (ASNT SNT-TC-1A-2016)

• Liquid Penetrant Testing Level II (ASNT SNT-TC-1A-2016)

• Ultrasonic Testing Level II (ASNT SNT-TC-1A-2016)

• Ensure compliance with customer requirements including

  NDT, IGC, Tag Numbers, PMI

  , and maintain IV System documentation.
• Manage

  product release

  , including application & removal of

  API monogram

  .
• Maintain qualification records and ensure fitness through

  Eye/Vision Examination (J1/J2 as per ASNT SNT-TC-1A2024)

  .
• Ensure all inspections meet quality standards and support continuous improvement in the inspection process.

Preferred candidate profile

• Must have

  relevant experience in the valve industry

  particularly in Butterfly Valve and Ball Valve inspection and testing.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (API, EN, MSS) and hands-on experience with inspection tools.
• Certified

  NDT Level II

  (MPT, RT, LPT, UT) as per ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• Good understanding of

  painting inspection, electrical continuity testing, and visual inspection standards

  .
• Ability to interpret technical documents (GA drawings, QAP, PO) and ensure product compliance.
• Eye/Vision competency as per

  ASNT SNT-TC-1A

  (J1/J2).
