Senior Purchase Executive Packaging Machinery & Materials

Role Overview: As a Senior Purchase Executive specializing in Packaging Machinery & Materials, your primary responsibility will be to manage import procurement of packaging machines and tools from international suppliers, as well as local sourcing of secondary packaging materials from domestic vendors. Your role will involve ensuring cost-effective procurement practices while maintaining high quality standards and timely delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end sourcing of packaging machines and tools from international suppliers, including coordination with overseas vendors for quotations, negotiations, order confirmations, and shipment tracking. - Ensure compliance with import regulations, documentation (LCs, BOEs, etc.), and customs clearance processes, while liaising with freight forwarders, CHA, and logistics partners for timely delivery. - Source and procure secondary packaging materials (e.g., stretch films, tapes, cartons, strapping materials) from domestic vendors, evaluating vendor performance based on quality, pricing, delivery timelines, and service. - Monitor market trends and pricing to negotiate favorable terms, collaborate with inventory and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels, and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications. - Work closely with engineering, production, and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets, supporting new product development and machine installation projects with timely procurement of required equipment and materials. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred). - Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial procurement, with exposure to both import and local purchasing. - Familiarity with packaging machinery and secondary packaging materials is highly desirable. - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and import documentation. - Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
