Leads the planning, execution and delivery of moderately complex projects or programs across a range of workstreams or a program office for complex global programs through all specific phases, in alignment with the organization strategies and client contractual requirements

key activities
- Coordinates the development, documentation and implementation of projects / programs in line with organization policies and strategies, defining and maintaining realistic project plans and monitoring project finances and progress against agreed quality and performance criteria
- Defines and executes large projects or smaller programs/portfolios, inputting on the project execution strategy, agreeing and reviewing approach, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Handles and resolves issue escalations, dependencies and project changes, and proactively identifies project risks, recommending scheduling changes, cost adjustments or resource additions as appropriate
- Builds relationships with all applicable stakeholders and holds accountability for the regular communication of project status
- Continuously develops and shares knowledge with the team on emerging trends and changes in Project/Program Management & PMO, e.g., agile methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma.
- Mentors other Project/Program Management & PMO professionals, helping to improve the teams abilities by acting as a technical resources
- Provides comprehensive technical expertise on projects / programs, using advanced project management knowledge
- provide strategic overview and scrutiny, ensuring alignment with wider policy and strategic initiatives.
- ensure the correct BAU stakeholders are timely involved with the project for a successful handover e.g. maintenance and support teams
- oversee the support and facilitation of meetings, workshops and events
- oversee the documentation and coordination of risks, issues, decisions, actions, and change requests, as well as value realization
your background
- minimum bachelor degree or equivalent in working experience
- minimum of 12 years experience in the industry; expert knowledge of PMO
- additional specific skills and proven experience are mostly related to the Atlassian Suite with a focus on Confluence and Jira
- Structure Information Hierarchies: help us build scalable "Blueprints" for Confluence spaces and Jira projects, ensuring a logical parent-child relationship between Initiatives, Epics, Stories, and Sub-tasks.
- System Configuration: understand the "Atlassian Hierarchy" to be the owner of system configuration and the related governance (as owner in the Global PMO team) - collect challenges and good practices across the teams, proactively come up with proposal to improve ways of working whilst ensuring the systems and workflows remain scalable
- Metrics & Performance Analytics: A strong understanding of delivery progress / health indicators - such as lead time, and burn rate - and the technical ability to translate these theoretical metrics into functional Jira or Looker dashboards.
- Engineer Data-Driven Dashboards: Configure real-time Jira or Looker Dashboards using advanced gadgets and JQL (Jira Query Language) to provide high-level health and progress views for executives and granular task tracking for delivery teams.
- Visualize Delivery Velocity: create, utilize and interpret reports including burndown charts - to predict delivery timelines and identify (workflow) bottlenecks.
- Bridge the Gap Between Tools: Maintain a "Single Source of Truth" strategy by ensuring all technical documentation in Confluence is contextually linked to the execution tasks in Jira (preferably by applying experience with automation).
- a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification may be advantageous
- experience in leading teams having worked in a global, international and digital environment is an advantage familiar with working in a Google environment
