Description
For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Senior Project Manager – AI/Machine Learning. We are looking for a motivated contractor. This position is long-term. Candidates need to be fluent in English. Tasks and responsibilities: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of AI/ML and Python-based software projects; Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders; Manage timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risks throughout the project lifecycle; Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, QA, DevOps, product) to ensure alignment and progress; Use Agile or hybrid project management methodologies to maintain delivery momentum and adaptability; Communicate project updates, status, and blockers to executives and team members regularly; Ensure effective QA practices are embedded, especially for data validation, model performance, and test automation; Evaluate tooling and infrastructure needs (e.g., ML pipelines, CI/CD workflows, cloud resources) and support decision-making; Profile Bachelor or Master degree; +5 years of IT project management experience in a large environment; Background or hands-on experience in software development or data science; Project Management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified Scrum Master (CSM); Familiarity with Python development workflows and machine learning lifecycles; Experience working with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), ML lifecycle platforms and model deployment practices; Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, preferably in AI/ML projects; Ability to translate complex technical topics into business-friendly updates; Fluent in English; Show more Show less
