Senior Production/ Process Engineer- Shop Floor (Mechanical Engineer)

Job Description

Description We are seeking a Senior Production/Process Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with extensive experience in drive production excellence across the shop floor by achieving output, quality, and profitability targets through continuous improvement, data-driven execution, and effective supervision. Responsibilities Capture and analyze shop floor data across production, quality, and profitability. Lead data-driven improvement projects to drive measurable gains across KPIs Ensure process excellence on HMC, VMC, CNC, and grinding lines Supervise line HODs and shift supervisors to ensure alignment and execution Identify and eliminate waste, bottlenecks, and process inefficiencies Drive and sustain 5S across all shop floor areas. Reduce cycle time and overall process costs. Lead kaizen initiatives and quality improvement efforts. Track and achieve OEE, MHR, and daily production targets. Prepare and present weekly dashboards and performance reports. Skills and Qualifications Diploma/ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 10-15 years of experience in production/process engineering in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Strong in data analysis, process control, and root cause problem solving. Hands-on with ERP/MES systems. Advanced Excel required; Power BI preferred. Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) preferred.
