Job Description

To ensure efficient production planning by balancing yarn requirements, coordinating across departments, and monitoring material availability to achieve timely and cost-effective production.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Planning & Yarn Requirement Analysis:

Calculate daily design and shade-wise yarn requirements.
Balance available yarn stock with upcoming production needs.

Production Scheduling:

Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Coordinate with weaving, yarn, stores, and procurement teams to align production plans with material availability.

Department Coordination:

Ensure seamless communication between weaving, yarn, stores, and procurement departments.
Follow up on material issuance, procurement lead times, and inventory updates to avoid production delays.

Inventory & Stock Monitoring:

Monitor raw material (especially yarn) stock levels regularly.
Maintain minimum stock thresholds to avoid stockouts and overstocking.
Work with the inventory/stores team to reconcile actual vs. planned usage.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain production and material planning records.
Prepare daily/weekly reports on planning status, material availability, and delays if any.
Identify and report deviations in plan vs. actual execution.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of textile production processes, especially weaving and yarn planning.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and planning tools.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate/Diploma in Textile Technology, Production, or any relevant field.
Additional certifications in production planning or supply chain are an advantage.
