As a Senior Engineer Piping/Mechanical (Packages) for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects at WSP India, you will play a crucial role in the engineering design of Piping, static & rotary equipment in adherence to WSP Engineering and Client Standards. Your extensive experience in EPCM environments within industries like O & G, Power plant, Chemical process plant, and Mining processing will be highly valuable. Collaboration with a driven and accomplished team in Australia will be a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Possess in-depth knowledge of piping design codes and standards including ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, process engineering principles, and equipment specifications. - Design and innovate piping systems and components, conduct thorough review of detailed piping layout drawings, and ensure alignment with specifications and industry standards in close coordination with the project team. - Provide expert advice in selecting and specifying rotating equipment like pumps, compressors, and blowers. Supervise design specifications, manage vendors, and assure compliance with industry standards. - Conduct pipe wall thickness calculations, define valve material specifications, generate RFQs for piping bulk items, and prepare technical bid study reports for various piping components. - Develop comprehensive inspection and testing plans for tanks and vessels, perform self-checks on work, report progress to your supervisor, and maintain effective communication with internal peers and the project team. - Collaborate with Australian lead offices, actively engage in the design process, ensure implementation of quality procedures, provide updates on work status, and promote Health & Safety practices. - Identify opportunities for enhancements to elevate client service, nurture colleague relationships, contribute to client satisfaction, and stay abreast of market and competitor landscape. Qualifications: - Possess 10-14 years of hands-on experience in piping, static, and rotary equipment engineering. - Hold a Bachelor's degree and preferably a master's degree in mechanical engineering. A PG diploma or certificate in Piping engineering would be considered advantageous. - Showcase strong organizational, technical, and communication skills with a keen eye for detail. - Demonstrate familiarity with operating in a LEAN environment and a track record of project involvement in Australia and New Zealand. - Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Possession of a P. ENG qualification would be a beneficial addition to your profile.
