Senior Node.js Developer

Responsibilities: Design and develop backend systems and APIs with a strong emphasis on writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, and DevOps, to understand performance requirements and implement optimal solutions. Conduct performance profiling, monitoring, and tuning of our application and databases to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Optimize database queries and data models to enhance application responsiveness and reduce response times. Implement caching strategies and other performance-enhancing techniques to reduce database load and improve overall system performance. Continuously review and refactor existing code to ensure adherence to performance best practices and coding standards. Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve performance-related issues, ensuring timely resolutions to maintain a smooth user experience. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in backend technologies, performance optimization techniques, and database technologies. Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers to improve their code quality and performance optimization skills. Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and manage the backend infrastructure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance. Requirements: 2+ years of hands-on experience in backend development, with a proven track record of writing clean and efficient code. Extensive experience optimizing database performance, particularly with MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Strong proficiency in performance profiling and tuning tools to identify and address performance bottlenecks. Solid understanding of caching mechanisms and other performance optimization techniques. In-depth knowledge of ECMAScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming concepts. Experience with designing and developing RESTful APIs using frameworks like Express.js. Familiarity with cloud-based environments and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
