Senior Merchandiser

As a Senior Merchandiser, your role involves overseeing all planning and activities related to buyer communication and shipment to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Your responsibilities include: - Communicating effectively with individuals at various levels on a daily basis. - Ensuring compliance with order requirements, timelines, and work plans for all departments. - Proactively sourcing new buyers and handling new enquiries to maintain a steady order flow. - Developing size set samples, reference samples, P.P Samples, Pilot Samples, etc., and obtaining approval from buyers. - Providing approvals for lab tests, color, fabric quality swatches, yarn dips, prints, and internal samples, as well as selecting suppliers and planning timelines. In addition to the above responsibilities, you are also accountable for: - Sourcing and purchasing raw materials, accessories, and identifying new suppliers and buyers. - Providing guidance and instructions to the merchandising team to ensure smooth operations. - Offering support and assistance to overcome any challenges that may arise during task completion. - Engaging in negotiations with a focus on mutual benefit and cooperation. - Estimating product costs, a critical function that influences order confirmation. - Organizing merchant meetings to facilitate decision-making and order planning. - Conducting production meetings with supervisors and managers to review ongoing orders. - Engaging in forecasting activities to predict future challenges and opportunities, suggesting new technologies, products, or industry trends.
