Be a part of a company that thinks differently to solve problems, make progress, and deliver meaningful innovations A Day in the Life As an Sr Mechanical Design Engineer of the MEIC, you will collaborate with the sustenance and engineering teams globally. You will enable Product Development, Medical Devices Design Controls, and Medical Device Regulation activities in close conjunction with the global teams. As a result, we need a Sr Engineer who will ensure we deliver the best on-time with high quality for our products. Key Responsibilities: Demonstrate strong expertise in Medical Device Regulations, including experience in gap assessments and remediation activities. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and contribute positively to the engineering community. Develop and implement automation solutions for manual processes using Python, VB, or other relevant tools. Work independently with minimal supervision, taking initiative to determine and develop effective solutions. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members; review their work and support their professional growth. May also lead projects or manage specific processes. Apply project management skills to plan, schedule, and monitor project activities efficiently. Drive the implementation of new standards across all product families, ensuring consistency and compliance. Possess comprehensive knowledge of product development and its cross-functional aspects. Support the Product Development Team by applying relevant medical device standards and regulations to new products under development. Must-Have Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 8–10 years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of medical device regulations such as IEC 60601, ISO 22442, and FDA guidlines. Hands-on experience in automating manual processes using Python, VB, or similar tools. Excellent verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
