Senior Manager - Risk Management

As a part of the Risk Oversight organization within Global Risk and Compliance at American Express, you will play a crucial role in identifying and managing risks across various processes and geographies. You will be part of the Enterprise Risk Management team in India, reporting to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) team of AEBC India. Your responsibilities will include developing and monitoring risk tolerance limits, establishing risk appetite metrics, and overseeing various operational risks such as financial reporting, operations, IT, cybersecurity, privacy, and fraud risks. You will collaborate with stakeholders across different functions to ensure regulatory compliance and manage relationships with regulatory bodies. To be successful in this role, you should have an advanced degree in economics, business, engineering, banking, or a related field, along with at least 4 years of leadership experience in Regulatory Compliance and Operational Risk Management, preferably in a financial institution. Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and an understanding of local market regulatory requirements are essential. As a leader, you will be expected to build and inspire a team, manage relationships effectively, and demonstrate integrity and proactive problem-solving skills. You should have excellent communication skills to convey oversight findings to colleagues, business partners, and senior leaders.
