As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Digital Document Services team, you will deliver high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will be working on the latest cloud-enabled and AI technologies and providing technology solutions for the firm-wide content capture platform. You will document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop/enhance software application modules and automated testing. You will adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development, and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered solutions, including Agentic AI workflows, machine learning models, and intelligent automation.
• Drive the adoption of AI best practices, ethical AI principles, and responsible AI goverce across engineering teams.
• Mentor and upskill engineering teams in AI/ML technologies, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning in artificial intelligence.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering and AI data science teams on best practices in model development, deployment, and responsible AI
• Actively participate in technical discussions, model reviews, and solution design for machine learning, deep learning, and data-driven systems
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven business value.
• Engage with senior business leaders, clients, and external partners to understand AI-related requirements and deliver innovative, value-driven solutions.
• Communicate complex AI concepts, model outcomes, and data insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Manage expectations, resolve conflicts, and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, 2+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise.
• 12+ years of overall experience in software engineering 3+ years in leading development
• 5+ years of leading development effort, developers and providing full end to end solutions
• A thinker of good architecture, design, resiliency and stability in the software
• Proven experience in developing and leading AI projects, including agentic AI workflows, and AI-driven application architectures
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks, Vector DB, OpenSearch, LLMs and cloud-based AI services (e. g. , AWS SageMaker, Azure ML)
• Experience integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications and workflows
• 7+ years of experience in Java, J2EE programming, Spring Framework and design techniques and web applications/REST APIs
• Hands on with version control practices, Continuous Integration tools e. g. Jenkins
• Working Knowledge of cloud technologies
• Hands on with relational databases e. g. Oracle or MS Sql Server
• Agile based software development experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Prior ficial or banking experience is a plus
• Knowledge Good to have knowledge of Big data platforms e. g. MongoDB or Cassandra
• Good to have experience with Angular, React or similar UI technologie
