Senior Manager - Mechanical

end-to-end execution of mechanical systems

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Delivery:

• Lead execution of

  mechanical systems

  including:
• HVAC (CRAC/CRAH, Chillers, Cooling Towers)
• Chilled Water / Condenser Water Systems
• Air Distribution & Containment
• Piping, Pumps, Valves, and Heat Rejection Systems
• Ensure adherence to

  project schedules, cost targets, and quality benchmarks

  .
• Monitor progress and proactively resolve execution challenges.

Design & Technical Management:

• Review and validate

  mechanical designs, drawings, and specifications

  .
• Coordinate with design consultants to ensure constructability and compliance with data center standards (Uptime, TIA, ASHRAE).
• Support value engineering and optimization without compromising reliability.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

• Manage mechanical contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, BOQs, and technical submittals.
• Ensure timely material procurement and site mobilization.

Commissioning & Handover

• Lead

  pre-commissioning, commissioning, and integrated testing (IST)

  activities.
• Ensure systems meet redundancy, performance, and efficiency requirements.
• Oversee documentation, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and final handover.

Quality, Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce

  HSE standards

  and company safety policies on-site.
• Implement QA/QC procedures, inspections, and audits.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, statutory approvals, and client standards.

Stakeholder Coordination:

• Interface with

  clients, consultants, PMC, electrical & civil teams

  .
• Participate in project reviews, progress meetings, and risk assessments.
• Provide regular status reports to senior management.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor mechanical engineers and site teams.
• Allocate resources effectively across multiple work fronts or projects.
• Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Experience:

• 15 + years

  of experience in mechanical execution.

• 5+ years

  in senior or managerial roles on

  Data Centre or mission-critical projects

  .
• Strong experience with large-scale HVAC and cooling infrastructure.

Skills & Competencies:

• Deep understanding of

  Data Centre cooling technologies

• Strong project management and execution skills
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, TIA standards
• Leadership, communication, and stakeholder management
• Problem-solving under high-pressure environments
