This position is an important member of the Analytical and Measurement Instruments Division (AMI) Business Development team.
Shimadzu seeks a “hunter”, an experienced, high performing business development professional to sell its state-of-the-art downstream processing products to Biopharma, CDMO, Vaccine, Plasma Products and Gene therapy customers. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and must have a demonstrated ability to sell new innovative products (both capital equipment and consumables) against entrenched competition and a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
This position is expected to travel up to 50% of their time.
The individual in this position is responsible to lead Shimadzu India efforts in the Bioprocessing and Biopharma market development with key responsibilities including, but not limited to the below:
External: Distributors, Subsidiaries, Vendors / Suppliers, Customers
Internal: Japan HQ
At least 8 – 12 Years of relevant experience, preferably 5 years in bio-process sales and 4-6 years of technical hands-on downstream processing scale-up experience at a biotechnology company.
Bioprocessing and Chromatography knowledge required.
Additional knowledge in Biopharma Analytical QC and Process Development would be a bonus.
