Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory & Material Management

• Manage and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing solar materials (modules, inverters, batteries, cables, structures, tools, etc.).
  
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all items as per industry standards.
  
• Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
  
• Maintain minimum stock levels and raise purchase requisitions when required.
  

2. Store Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring materials are issued and received smoothly.
  
• Ensure all documents such as GRN, MRN, DC, invoices, and issue slips are recorded accurately.
  
• Manage warranty and replacement materials related to solar components.
  
• Monitor material movement for ongoing projects and ensure timely dispatch.
  

3. Vendor & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with suppliers for on-time delivery of materials.
  
• Follow up on pending orders, material shortages, and discrepancies.
  
• Work closely with logistics teams for transportation, loading/unloading, and damage control.
  

4. Team Management & Compliance

• Supervise store assistants and workers to ensure efficient operation.
  
• Ensure safe working practices and adherence to company policies.
  
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance checks.
  

5. Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
  
• Share material consumption reports with project and procurement teams.
  
• Report slow-moving and non-moving inventory.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate/Diploma (preferred: supply chain, logistics, mechanical/electrical background).
  
• Minimum 35 years of experience in store management, preferably in the solar or construction industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of solar components and material handling.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and inventory software.
  
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
