We are inviting applications for the role of Corporate Reporting - Fin. Reporting.
Qualified candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely application of customer payments application and resolution of unapplied cash items according to established policies and procedures. Well known of customer collection strategies to reduce DSO.

Financial Statements
.Assistance in the preparation of Dormant Financial Statements for News UK and its Subsidiaries using OneSource..Assistance with the fulfilment of external audit requests with active help and encouragement from your line manager and team.Completion and co-ordination of audit samples, data extracts and populations across finance team

Sarbanes Oxley Compliance Project
.Ownership of testing your allocated finance processes as part of the wider Corporate Reporting team - Includes Walkthroughs, Interim and Top up testing..Escalate issues as they arise and work with team to clear and remediate deficiencies.Preparation and maintenance of process flow for areas being tested.Establishing and maintaining accounting policies and controls will be part of your day-to-day responsibility.Other.Assist the corporate accounting team to fulfil ad hoc requests from the business..Assistance with data collection for new accounting changes (FRS 102 Leases etc.) and requests from senior managementQuarterly Reporting.Specifically, this will involve loading some basic packs for submission to US Corporate for News UK and its Subsidiaries

Financial Accounting / Balance Sheet reconciliations
.Responsibility for CMP reconciliations.Completion and ownership of a number of monthly reconciliations on Blackline across News UK and its subsidiaries and clearing of reconciliation items through journals and investigation.Preparation and maintenance of monthly excel based cashbooks including posting to the general ledger.Key contact for Authorized Signatory list changes.Key part of SAP GRC team for user access changes including administration of system and UAR.Key part of Blackline Admin team for changes and upload of monthly balances (Also ensuring completeness of monthly reconciliations across finance).Assistance with calculating bad debt provision and monitoring working with AR team to identify changes

Intercompany reporting
.Reconciliation of all intercompany balances - External and Internal.Posting and coding of external recharges.Resolving and identifying differences.Posting FX adjustments on overseas balances.Identifying and processing settlements on internal and external balances as requested (working with treasury team)Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications
.Relevant years of Corporate Fin. Reporting experience preferred.Strong attention to detail, goal oriented, the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.Preferred history of demonstrated success in a fast paced, flexible environment with shifting demands and priorities.Develop a positive working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.Solid Microsoft suite skills, including excel, word and PowerPoint.Solid Google suite knowledge, including G-sheets, Docs and Slides, Sap S/4 Hana, Onesource, OneStream, Auditboard, SAP GRC, Bank access (TBC)

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
.Excellent verbal and written communication skills..Quick learner and self-starter, capable of working independently or collaboratively..Detail oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy..Demonstrated ability to analyse information, think critically, and solve problems.
