This role sits at a critical intersection: youll own end-to-end finance operations (Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, systems) while serving as a strategic bridge between operations and accounting. What Youll Own
- Order-to-Cash Excellence ;
- Lead end-to-end revenue cycle operations across India and US entities
- Optimise collections processes and DSO management as we scale.
- Partner with GTM teams on seamless billing and invoicing experiences.
- Ensure accurate commission data flows to the RevOps team
- Anticipate accounting/tax implications of pricing changes, billing model evolution, and new market entry. Understand how contract changes impact revenue recognition. Flag sales tax and GST considerations for new GTM motions. Structure operational processes that enable clean accounting handoffs
- Procure-to-Pay Operations :
- Lead P2P team and optimise vendor payment processes.
- Drive cash management discipline and strategic vendor relationships.
- Manage employee expense programs (reimbursements, corporate cards) via outsourced providers.
- Ensure expense workflows support clean GL coding and month-end close efficiency
- Systems & Strategic Projects:
- Manage multi-system tech stack (subscription management, billing, accounting platforms) across entities.
- Lead finance ops requirements gathering for ERP implementation (planned 1Q2027).
- Act as translator between operations and accounting: ensure billing system changes, new revenue streams, and process automation dont create accounting/compliance gaps.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to scale operations efficiently
- Team Development:
- Build and lead the FinOps team (2-3 direct reports plus outsourced partnerships).
- Develop team capabilities and create operational playbooks to drive scalability.
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships with Controllership, FP&A, RevOps, and GTM teams
What Were Looking For
- Required Experience & Skills:
- 8-12 years in finance operations, with at least 3 years leading O2C or full-cycle FinOps
- Strong accounting fluency that enables strategic partnership with Controllership:
- Understand revenue recognition principles (ASC 606/Ind AS 115) and how operational decisions impact rev rec Know sales tax and GST compliance fundamentals (when obligations arise, how to structure compliant invoicing)
- Can translate between operational needs and accounting requirements. Experience working across India and US entities (or similar multi-entity complexity)
- Proven experience building or significantly improving finance operations at a scaling company
- SaaS background strongly preferred (subscription billing, usage-based pricing, contract modifications)
- Track record leading teams through system implementations or significant process transformation
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong Preferences:
- CA, CPA, or equivalent accounting qualification
- Experience with mid-market finance platforms (Zoho, QuickBooks, similar) and SaaS billing tools
- Background in implementing automation or AI in finance operations contexts
- Collections strategy and cash flow optimisation experience
- Experience managing distributed or outsourced team members
