Senior Manager - Electrical (Project)

Purpose/Objective

Ensure completion of electrical equipment’s Installation, Testing (765KV/400KV GIS/AIS Switchyard, Power transformers, Reactors and Unit Auxiliary transformers) with quality, safety and time parameters through planning, monitoring, equipment receipt, execution, and smooth handover to the commissioning & operation team.

Key Responsibilities of Role

1. Update progress and MIS reports to reporting manager. 2. Periodically review overall progress of work in line with KRAs. 3. Work in coordination with other departments at the site. 4. Work towards zero NC (Non-compliance) and resolve at the earliest, if any. Principle Accountabilities: Strategic 1. Monitoring, coordination & execution of electrical installation activities related 765KV/400KV GIS/AIS Switchyard, Power transformers, Reactors and Unit Auxiliary transformers, Transmission line along with OBL system for erection & commissioning in line with the schedule date of synchronisation of that unit. 2. Monitoring & coordination of electrical Operation & maintenance activities related to Construction Power switchyard and its associated systems and plant illumination. Operational 1. Smooth and timely erection & commissioning of plant through coordination of relevant teams from Project and Generation. 2. Ensure that Quality as per Quality Plans & Safety as per safety guidelines. People Development & Growth 1. Enable capability development of self & team members through knowledge sharing sessions. 2. Undergoing training required for self-development and share with other members.

Technical Competencies

Ensure completion of electrical equipment’s Installation, Testing,Good knowledge of erection, testing, commissioning, electrical equipment’s & System.,Monitoring, coordination & execution of electrical installation activities,Understanding of technical specifications of equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience Total: With Degree : 15+ Years With Diploma: 18+ Years Essential Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech/ Diploma in Electrical Essential Area of Expertise: Project Electrical Equipment’s Erection Commissioning of Power Projects Should have hands-on exposure of Erection, testing & Commissioning of Electrical System & equipment’s of power projects like AIS/GIS Switchyard, LT/HT Switchgear, Power & Distribution Transformers, Switchyard equipment’s, DC System & VFD’s etc.
