Key Responsibilities:

Summary:

The role is responsible for end to end engineering design & execution of projects related to Infrastructure, Utilities, Safety & quality compliance (Process, bottling, utilities buildings and sheds, warehouses and allied infrastructure), needed in Spirits Manufacturing/Bottling plants, across various locations pan India. The Infrastructure & Utilities lead shall ensure standardization of design across plants/projects, adhere to good engineering practices & applicable standards and codes, and to ensure that the project / facility is designed in line with the best option for the business requirement and in accordance with applicable building codes/standards and statutory norms. The role is also responsible for scouting out and validating new utilities, material handling & warehousing technologies and upgradations of existing equipments/utilities/facilities, keeping up right suppliers/OEMs relations, deliver multiple, simultaneous engineering projects pan India with close collaboration with factory/unit engineering team, operational teams, other cross functional disciplines/stakeholders, consultants and OEMs.

1. Technical Expertise:

• Distillery/Brewing and Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Leverage strong understanding of distilleries, packaging plants, and manufacturing operations to enhance sustainability efforts across production and operational activities.
• Safety , Quality Utilities & Infrastructure Improvement Projects: Lead engineering projects, new technologies/solutions identification/trials and implementation for Utilities, material handling, warehousing, process plants and bottling plants related infrastructure works like Master planning, Civil, Architecture, MEP, Fire protection, HVAC etc.
• Strong conceptual understanding of various Industrial Utilities, Warehousing, Civil/Industrial construction works, associated challenges/costs/technologies/operations and Proficient in troubleshooting and improvement of existing Utilities/facilities/warehousing operations.

2. Project & Budget Management:

• Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor Utilities/Infrastructure (chillers, boilers, water and waste water treatment, ESG improvement projects, buildings, tanks, piping, MEP) projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
• Business Case Development: Develop business cases for various projects/concepts, conduct feasibility studies, and optimize budgets for multiple simultaneous projects pan India.
• Norms & Compliances: Shall have good understanding of industry best practices, norms related to operational/construction Safety, Statutory requirements applicable for various projects across India.

3. Stakeholder & Compliance Management:

• Internal Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, including Operations, Finance, Procurement, Legal, etc., to enable on time and in full delivery of all the assigned projects.
• External Stakeholder Engagement: Work with external partners such as vendors, consultants, regulatory bodies, and government authorities to ensure alignment on proposed projects and compliance requirements.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and national regulations (e.g., CPCB/SPCB norms, EPR, water, energy, and waste management laws, building codes/standards & Diageo standards) by supporting accurate records, reports, and audits.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Travel: Travel to various sites within India (and potentially internationally) as required to monitor projects and engage with key stakeholders.
• Influencing & Collaboration: Utilize strong influencing skills to align stakeholders across various departments and external partners with excellent communication & presentation skills
• Individual Contributor: While the role involves managing projects and direct/indirect teams, it will primarily be an individual contributor position, requiring self-motivation, proactive management, and independent execution of initiatives.
• Self-Motivation: Be highly self-driven, demonstrate accountability, and take ownership of projects with minimal supervision.

Educational Requirements:

• Minimum Qualifications (Must):
• • Bachelor''s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• Certifications (Desirable):
  • Masters in Operations/Business Management/Engineering
  • Certifications in Project management, Warehousing management, Energy Management, Automation etc. are highly desirable.

Professional Experience:

• Experience:
  • 8-10 years of professional experience in engineering/projects with 6-8 years in industrial utilities/infrastructure management ideally in the beverage, FMCG, distillery, or manufacturing industries.
  • Experience in working with SAP, MS Project, ACAD and Pro in Excel apart from managing multi-site operations and third-party vendor relationships is a plus.
