Role Overview:

Senior Manager – Document Control (Design)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage

  document control systems, procedures, and governance frameworks

  for all design documentation related to hyperscale data centers.
• Lead the

  design document control team

  to ensure timely registration, review, and distribution of drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
• Establish and monitor

  document workflows

  across architectural, structural, MEP, and civil design teams.
• Maintain complete control of project documentation including

  version control, revision history, and approval records

  .
• Oversee

  Document Management Systems (DMS)

  such as Aconex, Asite, BIM 360, or equivalent, ensuring configuration aligns with corporate and project requirements.
• Coordinate closely with

  design consultants, contractors, and internal engineering leads

  to ensure smooth document exchange and traceability.
• Prepare and maintain

  Master Document Registers, Transmittal Logs, and Document Status Reports

  .
• Conduct periodic

  audits and quality checks

  to ensure compliance with document control standards, ISO/QA systems, and project protocols.
• Support design management in

  tender submissions, client approvals, and authority documentation

  .
• Drive

  continuous improvement

  initiatives in document management practices, automation, and system optimization.
• Mentor and guide document control team members to ensure high standards of performance and consistency.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of

  design documentation processes

  for hyperscale or mission-critical projects.
• Expertise in

  Document Management Systems (Aconex, Asite, BIM 360, Procore, SharePoint, etc.)

  .
• Proven experience in managing

  large document volumes and multi-disciplinary design coordination

  .
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  
• In-depth understanding of

  engineering drawings, specifications, and transmittal procedures

  .
• Familiarity with

  BIM workflows

  and integration with document control systems is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  
• 12–20 years of experience in

  document control and design coordination

  , preferably within

  data center, industrial, or large infrastructure projects

  .
• Minimum

  5+ years in a leadership or managerial role

  overseeing document control teams.
• Experience working with

  hyperscale data center projects

  (AWS, Google, Microsoft, Meta, etc.) highly desirable.
• Knowledge of

  ISO 9001, project quality systems

  , and

  data integrity standards

  .

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience with

  EPC firms, design consultancies, or data center developers/operators

  .
• Exposure to

  fast-track, design-build environments

  .
• Proven ability to

  set up document control frameworks

  from project inception through execution and handover.
