Senior Manager - Data Science

As a Specialized Analytics Sr. Manager at our company, you will be responsible for managing professional teams and departments to achieve results. Your expertise in a defined area will set standards for others to follow, requiring a deep understanding of how different areas integrate within the sub-function and contribute to the overall function's objectives. Your role will involve basic commercial awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide and influence colleagues and external customers. You will oversee the volume, quality, timeliness, and delivery of results within your area, as well as be involved in planning, budgeting, and policy formulation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Working with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support business strategies - Identifying and compiling data sets using tools such as SQL, Access, and Python to predict, improve, and measure key business outcomes - Documenting data requirements, data collection/processing/cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, potentially utilizing statistical models/algorithms and data visualization techniques - Assessing risks when making business decisions and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations to safeguard the company, its clients, and assets To excel in this role, you should have: - 12-14 years of experience in financial/business analysis or credit/risk analysis - Ability to impact key business drivers through disciplined analytics - Providing analytic thought leadership and effective project planning management - In-depth understanding of various financial service business models - Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and creative problem-solving skills Education: - Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred This job description offers a brief overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for the role.
