Senior Manager- Buying & Merchandiser (Womens Category)

We are seeking a Senior Buying & Purchase Merchandiser – Women’s Category to lead end-to-end category management including buying, sourcing, vendor negotiations, assortment planning, and inventory control for women’s apparel.

Key Responsibilities

• Devlop women’s category across ethnic wear, western wear, bottoms, essentials, and seasonal fashion.

• Source merchandise from surplus, stock-lot, and small-scale vendors with sharp price negotiation.

• Develop pricing & margin strategies aligned to the A1 BAZAAR value format (₹99–₹499+).

• Plan and execute assortments, styles, and volumes based on customer demand and regional trends.

• Drive sell-through, inventory turns, and liquidation targets.

• Collaborate with VM, Ops, and Marketing for effective product presentation in stores.

• Continuously track market trends, competition, and consumer preferences.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in buying/merchandising, with strong exposure to value retail / discount / mass-market formats.

• Established vendor network in women’s apparel across ethnic and western wear.

• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and trend awareness.

• Hands-on, agile, and results-driven professional.

• Based in or open to relocation to Siliguri (Headquarters).
