Senior Manager Bus Body – Structural & Advisory

Seeking a highly experienced Bus Body Engineer with a strong background in bus body structure design, development, and advisory services. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of hands-on experience in structural engineering, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver safe, efficient, and innovative bus body solutions

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, analysis, and validation of bus body structures, ensuring compliance with safety, durability, and regulatory standards (AIS, CMVR, etc.).
• Provide technical advisory support to internal teams and external stakeholders on structural design, material selection, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Provide technical clearances for Bus Bodies built at accredited body builders, as per the internal BBA guidelines and report the findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including chassis engineering, electrical, HVAC, and manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of systems.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, 3D models, and structural simulations (durability, crashworthiness, etc.).
• Drive cost optimization and weight reduction initiatives without compromising structural integrity or safety.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for structural issues in field or production.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new materials, and technologies in bus body engineering.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives across the organization.
