Role Summary:


The Senior Manager Bids & Proposals will be responsible for leading the end-to-end bid management process, including preparation, coordination, submission, and post-submission follow-ups for RFPs, RFIs, Tenders, Vendor Registrations, Pre-Qualification (PQ) documents, and Commercial proposals. The role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, process orientation, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure high-quality and timely submissions that align with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. RFP/RFI/Tender Coordination and Submission:

    • Manage and coordinate the entire bid lifecycle, including RFP/RFI/Tender/Vendor information, Pre-Qualification, and Commercial submissions.
    • Ensure timely preparation and accurate submission of documents as per client requirements and company standards.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, etc.) to gather necessary inputs and approvals.
  2. Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and train the Bids & Proposals team to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all commercial preparations.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and performance excellence within the team.
  3. Client and Site Visits:

    • Conduct client and property visits when required to gain a deeper understanding of project requirements and commercial implications.
    • Collaborate with on-site teams to ensure accurate cost estimations and feasibility analysis.
  4. Commercial Analysis and Validation:

    • Review and analyze commercial proposals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company policies before submission for senior management approval.
    • Identify potential risks, cost implications, and value propositions to enhance proposal competitiveness.
  5. MIS and Database Management:

    • Maintain and update all bid-related data, trackers, and management information systems (MIS) as per departmental requirements.
    • Ensure systematic record-keeping and easy retrieval of historical data for reference and audits.
  6. Process Compliance:

    • Adhere strictly to organizational policies, internal approval hierarchies, and process compliance requirements.
    • Ensure that all proposals and submissions meet legal, commercial, and operational standards.
  7. Integrity and Confidentiality:

    • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive commercial and client information.
    • Ensure data security and compliance with company’s code of conduct.
  8. Time Management and Flexibility:

    • Demonstrate strong time management skills and flexibility to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
    • Ensure work completion within defined timelines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  9. Continuous Improvement and Additional Responsibilities:

    • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and contribute to departmental efficiency.
    • Be open to self-development and accept additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen

  • Knowledge of bid/tender processes and government portals (preferred)
