Qualifications and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, BCA or a related field. Latest relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, etc.) are advantageous. 2. Proven experience with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role, with a track record of managing and maintaining large and complex network infrastructure. 3. Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and network security concepts. 4. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques. 5. Experience with next generation firewalls like Checkpoint, Fortinet, Sophos etc. Knowledge of network authentication and access control methods, including LDAP, MySQL etc. 6. Experience with virtual private networks (VPNs), and intrusion detection/prevention systems. 7. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and network advancements to propose innovative solutions. Preferred Skills: 1. Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools. 2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with IT staff and end-users. 3. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. 4. A proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality network services. Responsibilities: 1. Design, configure, and maintain the organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), wireless network infrastructure and Firewall. 2. Monitor network performance, identify and resolve network issues, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure optimal network operation. 3. Administer network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points, ensuring they are properly configured and updated. 4. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect against cyber threats. 5. Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to plan and implement network upgrades, expansions, and system migrations. 6. Conduct regular network backups and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures or disasters. 7. Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
