Senior Lawyer

Job Title: Senior Lawyer Location: Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar, Gujarat Experience: 10+ Years Industry: Real Estate / Infrastructure / Industrial Parks / Land Acquisition Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our Land & Liaisoning division. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of hands-on experience in land acquisition, legal documentation (dastavej), and government liaisoning, with deep working knowledge of AUDA and GUDA processes, regulations, and approvals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end land acquisition processes, including identification, verification, negotiation, and registration. Handle all land-related legal documentation (dastavej), including Sale Deeds, Banakhat, Power of Attorney, and Title Clearance Certificates. Coordinate with AUDA, GUDA, and other local development authorities for necessary approvals, zone changes, NA (Non-Agricultural) conversion, T.P. schemes, and layout sanctions. Maintain and verify 7/12 extracts, 8A records, village maps, and other land revenue records. Liaise with government departments (revenue, sub-registrar, town planning, etc.) to facilitate timely approvals and clearances. Ensure all due diligence and compliance with applicable land and property laws. Handle issues related to land disputes, encroachments, and title clarifications. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, landowners, brokers, and consultants. Guide internal teams and management on land feasibility, legal status, and acquisition strategy. Key Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of AUDA & GUDA rules, processes, and departments. Strong grasp of Gujarat land laws, revenue records, and registration processes. Excellent in legal documentation and land title verification. Strong network in local authority offices and with land aggregators. Proven experience in handling large parcels of land for residential, commercial, or industrial use. Negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently and handle high-responsibility tasks. Qualifications: Graduate in Law / Commerce / Real Estate / Civil Engineering or related field. Master's degree or specialization in land/legal/law is preferred but not mandatory. Fluency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English.
