Senior Java Software Engineer

As a skilled Java Developer with 4-8 years of experience in US Life Insurance and Annuities, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining Java / Spring Boot applications that support various insurance business processes. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining Java / Spring Boot applications for policy administration, underwriting, billing, and claims processes. - Collaborating closely with product, business, and QA teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality software aligned with business requirements. - Developing and integrating REST APIs, batch jobs, and backend services. - Participating in Agile/POD-based delivery, conducting code reviews, and optimizing performance. - Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues across different environments. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience: - 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate/JPA. - Strong understanding of US insurance domain concepts, especially in Life Insurance, Annuities, and Policy Administration Systems (PAS). - Experience with insurance products/systems used in the US market and integrating with them. - Good grasp of SDLC, microservices architecture, and RESTful API development. - Proficiency in RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing complex SQL queries. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, etc. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have experience in: - Front-end technologies such as Angular or React. - Exposure to Cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - Basic knowledge of automation frameworks or DevOps tools.
