Key Responsibilities

1. Incident Analysis & Advanced Troubleshooting

• Investigate and resolve issues escalated by L1 related to infrastructure monitoring and alerts.
• Perform in-depth root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or complex alerts.
• Identify false positives or alert noise and recommend tuning actions.

2. EMS Tool Configuration & Management

• Configure and maintain enterprise monitoring (EMS) tools.
• Create, modify, or disable monitoring policies, templates, and thresholds.
• Onboard new servers, network devices, and applications into the monitoring system.

3. Alert Optimization & Event Correlation

• Tune alerts to minimize noise and ensure actionable notifications.
• Develop event correlation and suppression rules to improve workflows.
• Implement monitoring logic for critical KPIs and SLAs.

4. Escalation & Cross-Team Coordination

• Escalate critical/unresolved issues with detailed diagnostics.
• Collaborate with server, network, application, and database teams during resolution.
• Coordinate with vendors for EMS tool-related issues or upgrades.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Management

• Update SOPs and troubleshooting guides based on incidents and tool changes.
• Document RCAs and preventive measures for recurring issues

Qualifications

• 1–10 years of experience in IT monitoring or support (L2).
• Familiarity with EMS tools, ITSM ticketing systems, and escalation workflows.
• Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux commands and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts (if applicable).
