About Zing

Zing is an F&B group based in Kolkata that runs a bouquet of brands, including Rang De Basanti Dhaba, plus cloud kitchen brands such as Deja Bowl and Rosy Roti across Kolkata, Guwahati and Bengaluru.

The person we hire for this role will primarily work on Zing’s premium brands: Conversation Room and an upcoming bar, both of which are spaces to push experimental, high-impact design.

We’re looking for someone who will

-       Lead visual design, campaign, and in-venue collateral: menus, posters, packaging, social assets, large format print, motion promos and short-form video.

-     Use the right combination of AI tools for ideation, asset creation, and automation of repetitive tasks, but should know when human input must take over.

-     Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual language: typography, colour systems, photo treatment - across channels.

-      Collaborate with marketing, operations and the venue teams to ensure smooth print/production handoffs.

-     Mentor junior designers and contract agencies; help raise the overall craft level.

-     Keep their eye out for trends and create reproducible systems and templates.

Must-have skills & experience

-     3+ years in graphic design (agency, studio, or senior in-house role) 

-     Expert in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Confident in After Effects (or equivalent tools); able to do basic video editing.

-     Strong typographic sensibility and practical print production knowledge (bleeds, trapping, colour spaces, proofing, file prep, supplier communication).

-     Portfolio that shows craft across motion concept-led work, identity systems, posters, packaging, and social/video content.

-     Comfortable integrating AI tools into their creative process.

-     Excellent visual judgement, an opinionated voice, and ability to explain design choices to non-designers.

-     Fluent English (writing + verbal) and ability to work with cross-functional teams in Kolkata.

Nice-to-have

-     Experience with F&B / hospitality branding.

-     Experience managing external production vendors (printers, signage fabricators).
