Senior - GBS-SSC - Finance Commercial

As a Senior Consultant in the EY - Finance Consulting Team, your role will involve assisting clients with Business Transition assignments from a functional perspective. This includes collaborating with clients to establish frameworks for Global Business Services (GBS) or Share Services Centre (SSC). Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for performance improvements, conducting finance process assessments, analyzing pain areas, and proposing solutions. Your client base will be diverse, spanning across industries and countries. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work on GBS / SSC setup engagements, including Business Transition assignments - Conduct Account Reconciliations, Journals, Transaction matching, Variance analysis, etc. - Demonstrate strong accounting skills and understanding of financial reports and statements - Knowledge of Financial Consolidation, Cost Allocation, Finance Planning, and Budgeting Processes - Familiarity with financial close activities for month / Quarter / Annual close periods - Proficiency with ledger and sub-ledger systems, technical know-how of SAP ERP / HANA, Oracle GL - Experience in IFRS implementation projects such as IFRS 9, 15, 16, and 17 - Translate business requirements to technical language and model - Design Chart of accounts (CoA) - Prioritize and execute tasks effectively in high-pressure environments - Manage/supervise project teams - Willingness to travel (Domestic & International) **Skills and attributes for success:** - Consulting experience - Strong articulation skills - IFRS Certification is advantageous - Confident and professional communication style - Proficiency in English (oral and written) - Flexibility and adaptability in ambiguous situations - Ability to work effectively at all organizational levels - Capability to influence others and work collaboratively in a team - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to interpreting IFRS standards **Qualification Required:** - CA or MBA in Finance - Other professional degrees (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) considered based on relevant experience - 7-10 years of experience in Business Transition / GBS / SSC setup activities - Experience in Accounting Regulation Change and IFRS Implementation projects - Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills - Flexibility to work in any shift **Any additional details of the company:** EY is dedicated to creating a better working world by providing value for clients, employees, and society, and building trust in capital markets.
