Job Description (JD) for Senior Furniture Designer Position: Senior Designer Location: Metal Park, Raipur Reporting to: Factory Head Key Responsibilities: Furniture Design: Create innovative and functional furniture designs tailored to client requirements. Develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints, 2Dand 3D models of furniture pieces, focusing on modular and solid wood furniture. Software Expertise: Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, or similar tools to create accurate and visually appealing designs. Ensure designs are optimized for production feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Collaboration with Production Team: Work closely with the factory team to ensure designs are practical and can be manufactured efficiently. Provide design specifications, including measurements, materials, and finishes, to guide the production team. Quality Assurance: Review and refine designs based on feedback from clients and the production team. Ensure final products align with the approved designs and maintain high-quality standards. Research and Development: Stay updated with trends in furniture design, materials, and manufacturing techniques. Innovate new design ideas and concepts to enhance the factory’s product offerings. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients when necessary to understand their requirements and incorporate feedback into designs. Job Specification (JS) for Furniture Designer Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, or related fields. Experience: 3–5 years of experience in furniture design (experience in modular and solid wood furniture design preferred). Skills and Knowledge: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, SolidWorks, or similar tools. Strong understanding of furniture production processes, materials, and manufacturing constraints. Excellent skills in technical drawing and 3D modeling. Creativity with a focus on functional and aesthetically appealing furniture designs. Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with the production team and clients. Other Requirements: Familiarity with market trends in furniture design and consumer preferences. Punctual, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
