Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including consolidation and MIS reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems.

Statutory Compliance & Taxation

  • Ensure full compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory obligations.
  • Oversee direct and indirect tax matters, including filings, assessments, reconciliations, and planning.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, consultants, and authorities as required.

Audit & Internal Controls

  • Lead internal and external audit processes, ensuring adherence to audit timelines and requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and adherence to corporate SOPs.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust control frameworks.

Costing & Budgeting

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
  • Oversee product costing, inventory accounting, COGS analysis, and variance reporting.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency within the FMCG supply chain.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounts team to ensure high performance and functional excellence.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, sales, and procurement.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting;

    CA/CMA/Inter CA preferred

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience

    in finance, accounting, and taxation, preferably within the

    FMCG or manufacturing sector

    .
  • Strong technical knowledge in

    financial reporting, statutory compliance, costing, budgeting, taxation, and audit

    .
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
