Senior Executive - Quality//Karnataka-Gauribidanur.

Job Purpose:

To ensure consistent product quality of AAC blocks by monitoring raw material inputs, controlling production parameters, conducting lab tests, and ensuring compliance with BIS and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Raw Material Inspection & Approval

• Test incoming raw materials (fly ash, cement, lime, gypsum, aluminum powder, aggregates, etc.) as per defined parameters.
• Ensure compliance with specifications before issuing for production.
• Maintain RM test reports and supplier quality records.

2. In-Process Quality Monitoring

• Monitor and record key process parameters such as slurry consistency, rising height, cutting quality, density, curing cycle, and autoclave pressure.
• Coordinate with production team for timely interventions in case of deviations.
• Maintain online quality checklists and ensure process adherence.

3. Finished Product Testing

• Conduct physical tests on AAC blocks such as:
• Density
• Compressive Strength
• Dimensional Accuracy
• Drying Shrinkage
• Water Absorption
• Ensure that finished products meet BIS (IS 2185 Part 3) standards and customer specifications.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain test records, inspection reports, product traceability, and rejection data.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly quality reports and dashboards.
• Assist in preparing SOPs, QAPs, and quality manuals.

5. Customer Complaint Handling

• Investigate customer complaints, analyse root causes, and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with sales and technical teams for field visits and technical support.

6. Quality Management Systems

• Support internal audits and compliance with ISO 9001, BIS, and other certifications.
• Assist in calibration of lab instruments and maintain calibration records.

7. Process Improvement

• Identify quality improvement opportunities in raw material mix design, curing practices, and cutting precision.
• Suggest process optimization and cost-effective measures without compromising quality.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of AAC block properties and BIS specifications.
• Hands-on experience with lab testing instruments and procedures.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic ERP tools.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification:

• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science
• Knowledge of BIS (IS 2185, Part 3) and ISO 9001 systems is preferred

Experience:

• Executive: 2 to 4 years
• Senior Executive: 4 to 7 years
  Experience in AAC block, precast, cement, or other building material industry is preferred.
