Senior Executive - PPC

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Senior Executive Production Planning and Control is responsible for preparing and executing production schedules, optimizing resource utilization, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating across departments to ensure smooth production operations. This role is key to balancing demand and supply while minimizing production costs and maintaining product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning:

• Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels, and resource availability.
  
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, and Inventory teams to ensure alignment of production plans with customer demand and material availability.
  
• Maintain master production schedules and monitor progress to ensure adherence.
  

Material Planning & Inventory Control:

• Analyze Bill of Materials (BOM) and ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
  
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams for timely material availability.
  

Capacity & Resource Planning:

• Evaluate machine and manpower capacity to ensure feasibility of production plans.
  
• Suggest and implement load balancing or shift adjustments when necessary.
  

Production Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track actual production vs. planned production and identify bottlenecks or delays.
  
• Maintain daily production reports, downtime analysis, and performance metrics (OEE, utilization, yield, etc.).
  
• Recommend corrective actions for deviations from the plan.
  

Coordination & Communication:

• Liaise with Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  
• Support new product introductions by coordinating planning for trial and pilot production runs.
  
• Facilitate regular PPC meetings to review progress and adjust plans as needed.
