Role & responsibilities We are seeking a skilled Compound Developer to design, develop, and optimize rubber compounds for tyre applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in polymer science, rubber chemistry, and mixing technology, and will be responsible for creating formulations that meet performance, cost, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimize rubber compounds for various tyre components (tread, sidewall, innerliner, etc.). Conduct lab-scale mixing and physical testing of rubber compounds. Evaluate compound performance (e.g., abrasion, rolling resistance, traction, aging). Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to ensure compound consistency and manufacturability. Support plant trials and troubleshoot compound-related issues. Research and evaluate new raw materials and technologies. Maintain accurate formulation records, technical data, and reports. Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Participate in cost-reduction initiatives and raw material substitution.
