Job Description

  • Contribute to creating and implementing maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to improve operational performance and support new business initiatives.
  • Delegate maintenance issues and small projects effectively to team members with the right skills; plan and manage maintenance work efficiently.
  • Conduct daily and weekly checks to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Develop and manage a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule; ensure full execution of preventive maintenance and plan for any missed activities.
  • Audit engineering data systems for compliance and accuracy.
  • Schedule internal and external maintenance works, maximizing planned downtime and minimizing unplanned downtime.
  • Manage the maintenance team to ensure machine availability and coordinate reactive maintenance with shift management.
  • Optimize equipment performance according to standards to enhance product quality and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure routine calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain buildings, plants, and facilities fit for purpose and provide proactive support and solutions as required.
  • Develop accountability for maintenance material expenditure and implement strategies to manage costs.
  • Maintain systems and equipment data storage with high standards of accuracy; prepare reports and presentations.
  • Engage in continuous training and development for self and team.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Identify and deploy technical skill sets and resources for projects, including external contractors when needed.
  • Ensure achievement of KPIs through effective management and reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments for maintenance processes and tasks.
  • Manage contractors onsite to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies to protect staff and visitors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team that delivers best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Set department objectives and KPIs; monitor and assess team performance regularly.
  • Collaborate, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure compliance and successful delivery of maintenance strategy.

B.Tech/B.E. Mechanical
