Senior Equity Research Analyst

DUTIES:

1. Research:

• Conduct fundamental research and analysis of companies in India and globally (listed, unlisted, start-ups), including financial modelling, valuation and forecasting
• Conduct valuation exercises via modeling such as DCF analysis to estimate true company valuations
• Attend management calls, speak to people in the market to better understand target companies
• Prepare detailed research reports, including buy/sell/hold recommendations based on thorough financial analysis and market insights.
• Provide findings, market outlook and actionable investment recommendations to senior management in both written and verbal formats.
• Performance analysis of investments (monthly, quarterly)
• Analyze potential investments in listed and unlisted (VC / PE funds, early-stage ventures / mature businesses) Indian & Global (particularly the US) market on case to-case basis
• Mentor and support junior analysts by reviewing their work, providing guidance, and fostering professional growth.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance research processes, streamline data collection, and improve analytical accuracy.

2. Other items as required by the company

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field. CFA, MBA, or advanced degree is highly preferred.
• In depth knowledge of equity markets is essential; knowledge of any other asset classes would be added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of various macro and micro economic factors affecting the market
• Quantitative, Numerical and Analytical problem-solving ability
