Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Tenneco, you will be responsible for completing engineering releases for new or revised Ignition Products, including developing process specifications, tooling, and tool charts. You will review and process Manufacturing/Engineering Documentation Requests (MEDR) and offer direct support to the APQP/product launch management process. Additionally, you will be involved in developing and revising Process FMEAs and maintaining current process standards while also creating new standards for emerging process technology. Your role will also involve designing, developing, and implementing projects aimed at enhancing existing process technology to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce manufacturing costs. It is expected that you will have mastered the design and manufacture of fixtures and tooling, as well as be proficient in industrial automation devices and PLC control Assembly equipment. Your good judgment and operational abilities will be crucial in this role, along with effective English communication skills and the ability to read and interpret 3D mechanical drawings. As part of the job responsibilities, you will be empowered to take action to prevent non-conformities related to products, processes, and quality systems. Collaboration with a global team to meet customer requirements is also a key aspect of this role. A strong sense of responsibility, team cooperation, and a hard-working spirit are essential attributes for success in this position, along with the ability to provide quick responses around the clock. To excel in this role, you will receive job-specific training in areas such as the Ignition Group ECN Process, Ignition Group EDB System, Problem-Solving Methods and Tools, Project Management, Statistical Process Control, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Problem Solving Methods, and Design of Experiments.
