Senior Engineer - Quality

Individual Contributor Role

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring that products or processes meet specified quality standards. This includes developing and implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, identifying defects, analyzing root causes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, reduce defects, and maintain compliance with industry standards. 

• Mechanical Component Inspection – Inspect heat sinks, housings, brackets, and other mechanical components for compliance with design specifications and quality standards
• Precision Measurement – Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Defect Identification & Documentation – Identify, record, and report any defects, deviations, or non-conformities in mechanical components
• Tool Room Inspection – Inspect tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure their accuracy, functionality, and adherence to required specifications
• Machine Shop Quality Control – Monitor machining processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, tolerances, and technical requirements
• Collaboration with Tool Room & Machine Shop – Work closely with personnel to identify, investigate, and resolve quality-related issues
• Process Improvement – Recommend corrective actions and process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency
• Compliance Assurance – Ensure that all inspections align with company standards, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements
• Testing & Validation – Perform functional tests and validation procedures on inspected components and tools 
• Documentation & Reporting – Maintain accurate inspection reports, quality records, and data logs for audit and analysis purposes
• Training & Guidance – Provide guidance to machinists, technicians, and operators on quality standards, inspection techniques, and best practices

• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of quality standards and process improvement techniques

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field) or a relevant technical discipline. A Master's degree in Quality Management or related fields can be advantageous. 
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in quality control or assurance, preferably in manufacturing or production environments. 
• Skills:

  • Effective communication abilities.
