Job Description

Design and optimize
production layouts
using
AutoCAD
for SMT lines, manual assembly, and testing stations, ensuring efficient material flow and ergonomics.
Support the design and deployment of
jigs, fixtures
, and workstation setups for mechanical assemblies in electronics products.
Develop and maintain
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
,
Work Instructions (WIs)
, and
Checklists
for production processes.
Assist in creating small automation tools/scripts using
Excel VBA
,
Python
, or
Power Query
for process reporting, data logging, and productivity tracking.
Perform
time and motion studies
,
cycle time analysis
, and
line balancing
for various production lines.
Participate in the implementation of
Lean Manufacturing
tools such as
5S
,
Kaizen
,
Poka-Yoke
, and
SMED
.
Support New Product Introductions (NPI) through layout changes, process mapping, and trial coordination.
Track and analyze
OEE
, downtime, and yield across equipment like pick-and-place machines, ovens, or test stations in collaboration with process engineers.

Key Skills Required:

Proficiency in
AutoCAD
for plant and workstation layout planning.
Basic programming/automation knowledge in
Python
,
Excel VBA
,
Auto-cad
or similar tools.
Strong understanding of
industrial engineering principles
, especially in process design and productivity improvement.
Familiarity with
electronics manufacturing
environments and production processes (preferred).
Exposure to
Lean Manufacturing
,
5S
, and
continuous improvement
practices.
Good documentation skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electronics or Industrial Engineering
from a recognized university. 3-5 year of experience (internships or academic projects in manufacturing/electronics industry preferred).
