Senior Engineer (Civil)

Position : Sr.Engineer - Estimation and Costing Building Project

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer – Estimation & Costing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, and tendering for building and infrastructure projects. This role requires excellent technical knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analyses for building & infrastructure works.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify scope and prepare quantity take-offs.
• Collect vendor/subcontractor quotations and prepare competitive bid submissions.
• Conduct value engineering and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Support project teams in cost planning, budgeting, and cost control activities.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site inspections, and tender clarifications.
• Maintain updated unit rates, cost databases, and tender documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 6–10 years of experience in estimation & costing for building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and contract specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, and other estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in government tenders / EPC contracting
• Strong vendor network and awareness of market rates
• Ability to work independently and deliver within tight timelines
